Firefly working on new songs to be released in 2018

Beginning of this year we started to work on a bunch of new original songs to be released in 2018. Written by several Firefly members we will have different styles.
As we currently work on perfecting those songs we hope to start recording them professionally before Summer. Stay tuned :)

Band Diary - Ruairi O'Sullvan joins Firefly permanently

We are happy to announce that Ruairi O'Sullivan has agreed to stick with us. Ruairi plays bass with Firefly and had his first gig with us in Clonakilty on the 24th of November. Welcome to the gang!
Band Diary - New Logo for the band

We are delighted to have our new Logo done by Designer Barbara Schmitt from Germany. We would like to thank Barbara for all the hard work and the time put in to make our logo perfect. We absolutely love it!
AWARD - Firefly wins the NUA Musician - new upcoming artist award

Saturday two of us, Jerry and Jasmine as delegation for Firefly, were on the way to the NUA award ceremonies, as one of 5 finalists.
We are meeting up with our friend Elaine, also a finalist for the band "the lost Gecko" with whom Jasmine recently recorded her own song "Deer in the headlight" (you can hear the song on our page "LISTEN")
We had some craic!!
When they called us out as winners for NUA musican we were absolutely delighted. :)) Yay!!!!
Congratulations also to befriended band "Paradox" who won the best music video award.
Our thanks go out to everyone at NUA all our supporters our friends and families.

Band Diary - We are Finalists whohoo! NUA Music Awards 2017

Another night which was written in the old formation by all members has recently made it into the top 5 finalists of the NUA Festival and we all are very proud of this and can't wait for the winner to be announced on the 16th of September at the NUA Festival in Cork Ireland
Band Diary - Changes in the band 2017

Autumn 2017
Firefly will change the member formation as for personal life changes two of our members will leave, and two new members are joining.
Our new members are two wonderful musicians, we are proud to have:
Marius Monninger, Guitarist for Electric and Acoustic guitar, originally from Germany and member of the band "Narrators", also is into songwriting and we will play some of his own songs soon with Firefly.
John O'Connor, on the drums and percussion will bring a lot of expertise, and new beats to the band. He also played with the band "Fuego".
We are proud and happy to have ye.

RADIO - A day with Limerick LCCR Radio

So we were invited by Pat Foley of the Radioshow "Our Limerick" Limerick LCCR Radioastation.
A roadtrip with boots full of instruments and laughter. We had lunch with Pat in Limericks Horse and Hound and he made us as comfortable as possible when you're the first time on a radioshow. XD
Thank you Pat! We had some craic :) Thanks also to all lovely people from Limerick who checked our page after the show. Much appreciated

Despite the cold we thoroughly enjoyed to play Harty's in Cloyne, the secret gem of pubs in Cork with the best Tapas available in the Country.

EVENT - "Busking for the homeless" Christmas 2016 Patricks Street Cork
December 16, 2016
Together with Organiser Tony O'Brien and some fellow musicians (2of a kind, Kieran Roxborough and Paul Morrisey) We raised 802,60 Euro in just under 2,5 hours for the homeless in Cork.
All proceeds went to the Helping Hands Homeless Group
What a great cause.
